KatadataOTOVinFast has been present in Indonesia for the past few years. They have made a significant contribution to the Electric Vehicle (EV) ecosystem in the country.

Moreover, they have carried out various commitments to have a positive impact on the domestic industry.

"So at the end of the year we will start trying to build vehicles, while mass production will be carried out in the first quarter of 2026," said Kariyanto Hardjosoemarto, CEO of VinFast Indonesia some time ago.

He further confirmed that the first model to be assembled in Subang is the VF3. Because it is considered to be the most in-demand.

Then the VinFast VF3 is slated to immediately use domestic components. So it can comply with government regulations.

"This has become a concern so that all parties can meet the requirements," Kariyanto concluded.

For your information, VinFast has invested up to IDR 3.5 trillion to build the factory in Subang.

Later, VinFast's production facility will be able to reach a capacity of 50 thousand units per year.

In addition, it will open up many job opportunities. Thus, it will absorb thousands of workers in Subang and its surroundings.

Operating Electric Taxis and Charging Stations

On the other hand, VinFast's efforts to make Indonesia more environmentally friendly do not stop there.

They also operate thousands of Green SM electric taxis in several regions of Indonesia. Such as Jakarta, Bekasi, to Surabaya.

Consumers can easily experience their electric taxi service firsthand. Such as by using the Green SM application.

Additionally, new users will get a total discount of up to IDR 150,000. This serves as a stimulus for consumers to use environmentally friendly transportation.

Furthermore, the Green SM taxi service is believed to strengthen the city's transportation network by providing easy access to various modes of transport.
