KatadataOTO – VinFast Indonesia officially entered the Indonesian automotive market in 2024. The brand from Vietnam made an impressive penetration.

In a relatively short time, VinFast has grown quite rapidly from scratch.

Not only marketing electric cars, but VinFast is also building a supporting ecosystem in the country.

Through a long-term strategy, VinFast is collaborating with various parties, thus supporting their development as an automotive brand.

“Vingroup, as a private company in Vietnam, has reached all important aspects of modern life,” said Kariyanto Hardjosoemanto, CEO of VinFast Indonesia in Bali (20/12).

According to him, VinFast's mission is in line with the government's goal to accelerate the electrification transition in Indonesia.

In the country, they are bringing in a lineup of superior electric cars. They are confident in competing with other manufacturers.

Furthermore, VinFast is also implementing a number of innovations in electrification, aiming to make it easier for consumers to own environmentally friendly cars.

Not only offering competitively priced vehicles, VinFast also presents options for unit ownership and battery rental.

This method is claimed to be able to entice consumers in the country to purchase a unit.

There is also a unit buyback guarantee with a favorable price range, which increases customer confidence.

The Southeast Asian automotive market is said to be quite competitive. The large number of brands from China poses a unique challenge for VinFast.

However, they are not deterred, as it is said that during the exhibition, the number of vehicle orders was quite fantastic.

Then, all their hard work paid off with the presentation of several awards.

2025 is said to be the right moment to increase public interest in EVs (Electric Vehicles) in the country.

While continuing to launch new products, VinFast also announced collaborations with various parties.

Together, they are building a network of dealers and workshops across the country.

The network of workshops and dealers makes consumers more confident in VinFast's commitment.

The VinFast factory in Subang itself was built in just 17 months. Indonesia is then expected to become a production base for countries in Southeast Asia.
