Haval Raptor Hi4 was showcased at GIIAS 2025, ready to become an alternative SUV to the Toyota Land Cruiser.
KatadataOTO – The boxy Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV), the GWM Haval Raptor Hi4, was introduced outside of China for the first time at the GIIAS 2025 event.
GWM has not yet confirmed the model's launch in the country, but its presence signals a new product for the domestic market.
At GIIAS 2025, GWM opted to present the Tank 300 Diesel, priced starting from Rp 598 million on the road in Jakarta.
“We are taking a step further by introducing a diesel variant as part of our global commitment to providing a variety of technological options,” said Bagus Susanto, CEO of GWM Indonesia, on the sidelines of GIIAS 2025.
Meanwhile, the Haval Raptor Hi4 is referred to as the Haval Raptor HX by GWM Indonesia. This 5-seater configuration model has a 7-seater version in its home country, namely the H9.
The variant showcased at the exhibition was the Haval Raptor Hi4 Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV), which debuted in 2024. This year, its facelifted model has already been introduced in China.
In its home country, the Haval Raptor Hi4 is sold at prices ranging from 165,800 yuan to 192,800 yuan, or around Rp 378.9 million to Rp 440.7 million when converted to the rupiah exchange rate.
Four types are offered in its home country. GWM has also added two new color options named Storm Yellow and Ink Jiangnan Gray.
With dimensions of L x W x H at 4,800 mm x 1,950 mm x 1,843 mm, the Haval Raptor Hi4 has the potential to be an alternative to the Toyota Land Cruiser SUV in Indonesia.
The rugged design is supported by off-road capabilities. The top variant of the Haval Raptor Hi4 is equipped with a 1,500 cc turbo engine and a 27.5 kWh LFP battery.
With a full tank of gasoline and a fully charged battery, the EV mode range of the model is 115 kilometers based on the CLTC testing method.
This configuration is claimed to produce 378 hp and a peak torque of 750 Nm, delivered to all wheels.
Throughout 2025, GWM has confirmed it will bring in three new products: the Ora electric car, a new variant of the Tank 300 at GIIAS 2025, and another one from Haval.
The facelifted version of the Haval Raptor Hi4, which receives several changes from the grille to its features, is likely to be introduced.
Furthermore, considering the rising popularity of PHEVs following the arrival of Chinese brands, the Haval Raptor Hi4 PHEV is a potential candidate for GWM's new car in the country.
However, upon checking the Intellectual Property Database (PDKI), it appears that GWM has not yet registered the Haval Raptor Hi4 PHEV trademark.
