KatadataOTO – Deddy Mahendra Desta had an accident while touring on a big bike (moge) in the Sembalun area, West Nusa Tenggara. He reportedly fell on a local resident who then recorded it and shared the experience through the TikTok account @bintangkejora0427.

The video went viral on several social media platforms, and the victim eventually explained the chronology of the accident that occurred some time ago.

At that time, Desta was said to be trying to park after a ride but suddenly lost his balance. The big bike then fell and hit another parked motorcycle.

"At that time, he was about to put his foot down, but the ground was sloped. His motorcycle is heavy and quite tall," said the account owner.

He also revealed that Desta tried to hold on but wasn't strong enough and eventually fell. Fortunately, he did not suffer serious injuries and could still carry on with his activities.

Desta's and the victim's motorcycles reportedly only sustained minor damage, and the issue has been resolved peacefully.

It should be noted that the motorcycle Desta was using is a Ducati DesertX. The bike was launched in November 2022 and is designed to remain comfortable on long journeys across various terrains, including off-road.

This motorcycle is equipped with a 21-inch front tire and an 18-inch rear tire. The Ducati DesertX's chassis is also designed to be robust to meet the rider's needs.

Its large size means the bike's weight cannot be called light, weighing 202 kg with a height of 875 mm. The manufacturer also fitted it with a 21-liter fuel tank.

The Ducati DesertX uses a 937 cc Testastretta engine. This powerhouse can produce 110 hp at 9,250 rpm and 92 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm.

The engine is Euro 5 compliant. Thus, its emission quality is expected to be quite good.

The motorcycle also comes with 6 riding modes: Enduro, Rally, Sport, Touring, Urban, and Wet. All of them can be adjusted to the rider's needs and riding style.
