When Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Looked Dashing on a Patrol Motorcycle

KatadataOTO – Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, Minister of Finance (Menkeu), is once again the talk of the town. Not because of a policy he made.

But rather because he was recently in action using a Patrol and Escort (Patwal) motorcycle, namely the BMW R 1300 GS Adventure.

This was known from a post on Purbaya's personal TikTok account on Tuesday (02/12).

At first, Minister of Finance Purbaya seemed to have difficulty adapting to the big bike (moge) from Germany.

He tried several times to get the BMW R 1300 GS Adventure off its center stand.

However, it wasn't long before he succeeded. Purbaya immediately took the escort bike out of the basement area.

The aide to President Prabowo Subianto then rode around the Ministry of Finance building.

However, because the two-wheeled vehicle is quite heavy, Purbaya almost fell when trying to turn at a low speed.

Fortunately, Purbaya was quick to control the situation, allowing the BMW R 1300 GS Adventure to start moving again.

Then, Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa immediately tested the acceleration of the big bike from the Blue Continent (Europe). His body was even pulled backward.

"The bike is heavy, an underbone motorcycle is more comfortable," stated Minister of Finance Purbaya.

For your information, the BMW R 1300 GS is a two-wheeled vehicle from the adventure segment.

It is usually used by automotive enthusiasts for adventuring, such as touring to faraway places.

However, in Indonesia, it is also often relied upon as an escort motorcycle by police officers.

Moreover, the BMW R 1300 GS is equipped with a 1,300 cc capacity engine, claimed to be an improvement on the previous model, the BMW R 1250 GS.

BMW claims their motorcycle can produce up to 145 hp at 7,750 rpm, and the peak torque reaches 149 Nm at 6,500 rpm.

To support this performance, the BMW R 1300 GS Adventure is equipped with a 30-liter capacity fuel tank.

On the other hand, various modern features are also included. For example, the headlight is already equipped with Matrix LED with 47 LED modules for more optimal lighting in any condition.

"It's not easy and the bike is heavy, it seems to require special skills. Especially for getting through Jakarta's traffic, being able to zigzag or weave through Jakarta's congested streets," Purbaya concluded his statement.
