KatadataOTO – Since its launch in December 2024, the Honda PCX 160 has become one of the models in high demand by the public. Moreover, the motorcycle features RoadSync, allowing the unit to connect with a smartphone.

The feature can display various important functions to assist the rider. From navigation, answering calls, listening to music, reading incoming messages, to Voice Command.

Thanks to this, journeys will be more enjoyable as the driver can see navigation through the instrument panel. Activating it is also quite simple as it only requires a Bluetooth connection on the smartphone.

Not only that, Honda RoadSync can also provide important information about the vehicle's condition. From travel time to distance covered.

“Honda RoadSync can also remind vehicle owners about periodic maintenance schedules. This way, the motorcycle's condition can be well-maintained,” said Wahyu Budi, Training Analyst at PT Wahana Makmur Sejati.

Despite its attractive advantages, RoadSync on the Honda PCX160 cannot connect to all smartphones. There are several requirements that vehicle owners must meet for the device to connect properly.

One of them is the requirement for a compatible Operating System for both Android and iOS.

“A minimum of iOS 17 or Android 10 is required. If it's below that, it will be difficult to connect,” he later stated.

Not only that, motorcycle owners also need to be patient because sometimes the connection is difficult to establish. This condition generally occurs during the first connection attempt.

“The solution is simple, just reset RoadSync and restart the procedure,” Wahyu Budi later added.

It should be noted that the Honda PCX 160 RoadSync is sold for Rp 40.9 million. This motorcycle is already equipped with various other features to support the vehicle's performance.

The Honda PCX 160 still uses the same powertrain as before, which is a 156.9 cc, 4-valve, liquid-cooled enhanced Smart Power Plus (eSP+) engine.

The power output is 15 hp at 8,500 rpm and a peak torque of 14.7 Nm at 6,500 rpm.

Specifically for unit purchases at Wahana, PCX 160 customers will receive additional accessories such as a headlight garnish, handle cover garnish, fuel tank garnish, step floor panel, radiator garnish, and muffler garnish.  This gives the motorcycle a more attractive appearance.
