Wahana Targets Monthly Sales of 3,700 Honda PCX 160 Units

KatadataOTO – PT Wahana Makmur Sejati is optimistic it can sell at least 3,700 units of the Honda PCX 160 every month. This is because the product's reception is considered quite good, especially in the Jakarta and Tangerang areas.

Moreover, the motorcycle, which was officially launched last December 2024, has actually already sold thousands of units.

“Our target is 3,700 to 3,800 units per month or around 44,000 units per year. Meanwhile, the number of units sold since the launch is 3,600 units,” said Olivia Widyasuwita, Division Head of Sales at PT Wahana Makmur Sejati (01/25).

She also emphasized that the Honda PCX 160 has been the fourth-largest contributor for Wahana, after the Beat, Vario, and Scoopy.

Of all interested buyers, she revealed that the CBS type is the most chosen option compared to other variants.

“The Roadsync accounts for about 7 to 9 percent, then CBS 70 percent, and the rest is ABS. But this is still very subject to change because in the future, the demand for Roadsync will increase,” Olivia then said.

As for the most popular colors, white is the most sought-after, followed by black and red. However, the difference in numbers is claimed to be very slim.

“The difference between white, black, and red is very slim. But for the Roadsync, the bestseller is maroon red,” she then added.

It should be noted that the latest Honda PCX 160 was officially launched in December 2024 with various developments. From the front and rear light design to the use of a 5-inch TDF meter panel.

This motorcycle still utilizes the same engine as before, which is a 156.9 cc, 4-valve, liquid-cooled enhanced Smart Power Plus (eSP+) engine.

The power produced is 15 hp at 8,500 rpm and a peak torque of 14.7 Nm at 6,500 rpm.
