KatadataOTO – Honda ADV 160 became the all-day companion for fellow journalists attending the Honda Bikers Day (HBD) 2025 event.

Starting from the Ciwidey area, dozens of bikers rode together. KatadataOTO also got to experience the thrill of exploring the southern coast of West Java.

Covering a journey of about 170 kilometers, the Honda ADV 160 easily conquered the winding mountain roads.

“The All New Honda ADV 160 offers a complete riding experience. From powerful engine performance, comfort, to advanced safety features,” said Ahmad Muhibbuddin, General Manager of Corporate Communication at AHM.

It was further stated that the Honda ADV 160, as AHM's newest product, was intentionally chosen for HBD 2025. Besides being a new product, the route to HBD was considered suitable for exploring the unit.

In the Ciwidey area, participants were treated to green views of tea plantations. The winding, uphill and downhill road terrain was the main course.

The roads themselves were still quite slippery due to rain the previous night. Fortunately, it is equipped with the Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) feature.

This made maneuvering on corners feel more confident. Especially since the supporting suspension and tires were quite adequate.

Heading towards the Naringgul region, we were testing our riding skills. Luckily, the braking system equipped with ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) worked optimally.

However, when facing steep inclines, larger riders needed a special technique. Utilizing momentum was very important to avoid losing power.

This is due to the nature of a scooter that relies on a CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission). To produce maximum power, the rider must be careful in managing the throttle.

Especially when entering the final stage in Cikajang, Garut. The participants were presented with many inclines and long corners.

Added to this, heavy rain and thick fog were briefly intimidating. However, all participants were still able to complete the journey.

Not to forget, all participants of this tour were invited to explore the Honda Roadsync feature. Riders can be assisted in monitoring their phone's activity during the journey.

From phone calls, messages, music entertainment to navigation, it became a loyal companion on the tour. As a note, to enjoy the entertainment, the earphones used must fit well.

Because if the shape is too large, it will certainly interfere with the comfort of the journey. It would be better to rely on an intercom.

The Honda Roadsync feature itself is easily operated using the buttons on the left switch.

Overall, the six-hour journey was able to provide a pleasant experience.
