KatadataOTO – Kawasaki Motor Indonesia (KMI) is tempting automotive enthusiasts visiting the Jakarta Fair 2025.
The Japanese company launched the Kawasaki KLX230 Sherpa at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta on Thursday (19/06).
They claim the new motorcycle is designed to meet the needs of consumers in the country.
"We have seen high enthusiasm for off-road and adventure-style motorcycles in recent years," said Michael C. Tanadhi, Head of Sales & Promotion at KMI, in an official statement.
Michael revealed that the new Kawasaki motorcycle can be used on various terrains, from asphalt roads to off-road trails.
Thus, the Kawasaki KLX230 Sherpa can accommodate the various activities of its owner.
"We are introducing the Kawasaki KLX230 Sherpa for riders looking for a multipurpose bike," he continued.
In terms of appearance, the KLX230 Sherpa is not much different from other Kawasaki trail bikes.
However, there are some additional components, such as a slim shroud and an aluminum skid plate.
It also comes equipped with metal hand guards and black-colored spoked wheels paired with tubeless dual-purpose tires.
Speaking of the mechanical heart, the Kawasaki KLX230 Sherpa carries a 233 cc SOHC engine. It is air-cooled with fuel injection and an electric starter.
The aforementioned engine is claimed to have strong torque characteristics from the low to mid-range, making it reliable for tackling uphill roads.
The Kawasaki KLX230 Sherpa is also equipped with modern features, such as a full digital instrument panel.
It can display various information, from the speedometer, odometer, and fuel consumption to a digital clock.
Finally, the Kawasaki KLX230 Sherpa can also connect to the owner's smart device via the Rideology The App application.
This allows riders to easily access a number of features, such as a GPS-based riding log and routine service reminders.
"Jakarta Fair 2025 is the right moment to introduce this product directly to the public," said Michael.
If you intend to own one, the price of the Kawasaki KLX230 Sherpa is Rp 59.9 million. This amount is already On The Road (OTR) for Jakarta.
It's worth noting that Kawasaki is also displaying their various motorcycles at Jakarta Fair 2025, so you can see more than just the KLX230 Sherpa.
