KatadataOTO – KMI (Kawasaki Motor Indonesia) surprised visitors at IIMS 2025. The Japanese manufacturer launched two products simultaneously.

They are the Kawasaki Meguro S1 and the W230. The two-wheeled vehicles come with a classic look.

“We are presenting the Kawasaki W230 and Meguro S1 as authentic retro motorcycles with a distinctive Japanese heritage touch,” said Michael C. Tanadhi, Head of Sales & Promotion for KMI at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta on Thursday (20/02).

Michael claimed that the products target young people, as well as classic two-wheeler enthusiasts in the country.

For your information, the retro DNA in both the Kawasaki Meguro S1 and W230 can be seen in their appearance. At the front, there is a round LED headlight and turn signals.

This is combined with a black and chrome cover, adding to the classic impression of the two new motorcycles.

Moving to the handlebar area, there is a round instrument panel that combines analog and digital displays. Then, the fuel tank has a teardrop-like design.

Further to the back, the new Kawasaki motorcycle is equipped with a peashooter-style exhaust. It is said to produce a distinctive sound.

In terms of dimensions, both the Kawasaki W230 and Meguro S1 have a length of 2,125 mm, a width of 800 mm, and a height of 1,090 mm.

The seat height is 740 mm. The total weight is 143 kg with a 12-liter fuel tank capacity.

In the engine department, the Kawasaki Meguro S1 and W230 are equipped with a 233 cc, SOHC, single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine.

On paper, it is claimed to produce up to 17.7 hp at 7,000 rpm and a peak torque of 18.6 Nm at 5,800 rpm.

All power is sent to the rear wheel through a six-speed manual transmission.

The manufacturer from the Land of the Rising Sun said that the Kawasaki Meguro S1 and W230 can be relied upon for various activities.

For example, navigating through traffic in urban areas and also for long-distance touring.

It should be noted that the Kawasaki Meguro S1 is marketed in an Ebony color. Meanwhile, the Kawasaki W230 is sold in Pearl Ivory and Ebony colors.

If you are interested, both motorcycles can now be ordered at IIMS 2025. The price for the Kawasaki Meguro S1 is Rp 79.2 million.

Then, the Kawasaki W230 is priced at just Rp 72.6 million. All prices are OTR (On The Road) for Jakarta.
