Rifki explained that they deliberately kept the Yamaha matic motorcycle. One of the reasons is to provide more diverse choices for consumers.

This can attract two-wheeled vehicle enthusiasts in the country. Thus, capturing more Yamaha matic buyers.

“We think that having these three variants will provide choices for consumers who want a scooter in this segment. If they want to upgrade, we provide a new model equipped with modern features,” Rifki continued.

On paper, the mechanical heart is claimed to be able to produce 9.3 hp at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 9.5 Nm at 5,500 rpm.

It is also equipped with SMG (Smart Motor Generator) which makes the starter sound smooth when the motorcycle is turned on and SSS (Stop & Start System). Then, to support the owner's activities, the manufacturer with the tuning fork logo provides a charging socket for smart gadgets.

Born as a matic, the Yamaha Gear 125 has a length of 1,870 mm, a width of 685 mm, and a height of 1,060 mm. Meanwhile, the wheelbase is 1,260 mm and the seat height is 750 mm.
