KatadataOTO – Performance Damper for the Yamaha Nmax motorcycle is now sold separately. It should be noted that initially, this component was only available in the special edition Tech Max Ultimate variant.

The additional part is claimed to help with the motorcycle's handling and stability, as it reduces vibrations in the engine frame.

Due to the high enthusiasm of Yamaha Nmax owners for this component, the manufacturer has finally started selling the Performance Damper separately.

“Consumer response to the presence of the Yamaha Performance Damper has been very positive. Many of them wanted the part to be sold separately from the unit,” said Antonius Widiantoro, Assistant General Manager of Marketing & Sales Part Operation Division at PT YIMM (Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing) in an official broadcast, quoted on Thursday (10/07).

He revealed that the Performance Damper can be used by all Yamaha Nmax Turbo and Neo users.

He further explained that this component is installed inside the motorcycle's body, specifically on the left side of the frame.

This placement allows the damper to work effectively in supporting riding performance, ease of handling, smooth acceleration, and plays a role in dampening vibrations when the motorcycle goes over bumpy roads.

The manufacturer's decision to release the additional Performance Damper part is intended to meet the usage needs of Yamaha Nmax owners.

“Characteristically, consumers of this scooter are indeed touring enthusiasts who want better quality and riding performance to enjoy their riding activities,” said Anton.

For interested Yamaha Nmax owners, the Performance Damper can be purchased at the Yamaha booth during the Jakarta Fair 2025. The event will be held at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta from June 19 to July 13.

Besides the Yamaha Nmax, the Performance Damper is also available for the Xmax Connected with a price tag of around Rp 3.3 million.

Meanwhile, specifically for the Yamaha Aerox, this addition can only be enjoyed if the customer purchases the special variant, the Aerox Alpha Turbo Ultimate.
