KatadataOTO – KMI (Kawasaki Motor Indonesia) recently launched a new product for domestic consumers, namely the new Kawasaki Z900. The unique thing about this big bike (big motorcycle) is its price.
The Japanese brand is selling their product starting from IDR 199.9 million for the lowest variant. Meanwhile, the highest type or SE is priced at IDR 219.9 million on the road in Jakarta.
The amount above is lower than the old Kawasaki Z900, a.k.a. the 2024 model. Because it was marketed at a price of IDR 271.8 million.
Seeing this, KMI tried to explain. They admitted to intentionally doing this for their new product.
“This is a strategic price from us, so we are lowering all the margin components we get,” said Michael C. Tanadhi, Dept. Head of Sales & Promotion KMI in Central Jakarta some time ago.
He explained that the price of the new Kawasaki Z900 is lower than the previous model in order to expand the market.
So they can reach more consumers. That way, this product will be more in demand.
However, Michael ensures that the new Kawasaki Z900 has not experienced a decrease in quality even though the price offered is cheaper.
“There is no reduction in materials. You can check the (quality) yourself on our motorcycle,” Michael said.
Indeed, if you look at it, the new Kawasaki Z900 has several advantages. For example, the inclusion of gold-colored upside-down forks from Showa on the highest variant.
Then, the rear uses Ohlins suspension. It is claimed to provide more comfort.
Furthermore, there are also four-piston Brembo discs and calipers at the front. So it can provide a maximum braking system.
“We want to shake up the big bike market in Indonesia. Because the market expansion in Indonesia is not developing well, so it is hoped that the big bike market will be revitalized,” he asserted.
For your information, the new Kawasaki Z900 is marketed with limited units. Interested consumers can place an order immediately.
“For this price, we are providing a limited quota, so it's first come, first served,” said Michael.
He further explained that they are only preparing 50 units for each variant, namely the standard and SE.
If the currently provided quota runs out, then consumers will have to prepare more money to buy the new Kawasaki Z900.
