KatadataOTO – Yamaha Aerox Alpha has been on the market for several months. Including for consumers in the Central Java and Yogyakarta regions.
One of the Maxi Yamaha family members is claimed to have received a positive reception in Solo, Semarang, and the surrounding areas.
“The Yamaha Aerox Alpha has a tendency to be very well-received in the market. Especially by young people who want to try its turbo sensation,” said Bill Prasetyo Gunawan, Chief of DDS III Central Java-DIY PT YIMM (Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing) in Yogyakarta, on Saturday (22/02).
Bill detailed that several variants of the Yamaha Aerox Alpha are favored by consumers there, such as the standard type.
According to him, the product contributes up to 60 percent of their sales each month.
“Then followed by the Yamaha Aerox Alpha CycberCity at a little over 20 percent,” continued Bill.
He explained that the standard type is quite popular because its price tag is more affordable than other variants.
Meanwhile, the CyberCity is sought after by many buyers because it has a quite unique color combination on its body and rims.
“As for the Yamaha Aerox Alpha Turbo and Turbo Ultimate, they are in the third and fourth positions,” he affirmed.
Furthermore, Bill stated that most of the consumers who purchase their product are new buyers.
This means the Yamaha Aerox Alpha is able to attract the interest of people who previously did not use this scooter, making them want to own one.
“The waiting list is only for a week or two (to receive the unit),” concluded Bill.
For your information, the Yamaha Aerox Alpha features a sporty design. This is visible from the sharp and tapered lines throughout the body.
This scooter is claimed to have the distinctive DNA of the Yamaha R1M. Making the appearance of the Nmax Turbo's sibling even sportier.
Moving to the mechanical heart, the Yamaha Aerox Alpha carries a 155 cc Blue Core, VVA, single-cylinder, SOHC engine.
It is said to be able to produce a maximum power of 15.1 hp at 8,000 rpm. While the peak torque reaches 14.2 Nm at 8,000 rpm.
It is then paired with a YECVT system, replacing the conventional CVT system. It works by relying on an electric motor to move the front pulley.
It also utilizes a number of electrical components from the Yamaha Nmax. Including the Control Unit, Actuator, and several other sensors.
The feature consists of Sheave Assy (maintenance-free), Fixed Screw Assy, Sliding Screw Assy, ECVT Motor, and Gear Reduction Driven.
