KatadataOTO – The new Honda ADV 160 was recently launched nationally. The model received a number of updates from the previous version.

In the highest variant, the New Honda ADV 160 is already equipped with the RoadSync feature.

RoadSync itself allows connectivity from the owner's smart device directly to their vehicle. Previously, this feature was also embedded in the PCX 160.

Amid various challenges and weakening purchasing power, PT Wahana Makmur Sejati (WMS), as the main dealer for Honda's motorcycle line, still has high targets.

“We are targeting monthly sales of around 600 units for the New Honda ADV 160,” said Olivia Widyasuwita, Division Head of Sales at PT WMS in Jakarta recently.

She revealed that the RoadSync feature is one of the main attractions for consumers and plays a role in boosting sales of other models like the PCX 160.

Seeing the high interest from buyers in RoadSync, the feature was then embedded in the New Honda ADV 160 and is expected to attract more buyers.

“Since the RoadSync feature was introduced, it has significantly increased the overall sales volume for the PCX 160,” said Olivia.

To make it easier for consumers, there are various programs available for the purchase of the latest version of the Honda ADV 160.

For example, trading in an old unit for a new one includes up to four installment cuts.

According to Olivia, this is the right strategy to boost sales figures amid the weakening purchasing power currently occurring in the automotive sector.

The trade-in process is also made easier because the Wahana dealer network has partnered with used motorcycle traders to determine the trade-in price of the consumer's motorcycle.

“For example, a Vario (owner) wants to upgrade to a Honda ADV 160. Our dealers have, of course, collaborated with trusted used motorcycle traders,” she affirmed.

It should be noted that there are several types available. The lowest variant of the New Honda ADV 160 is offered at Rp 37.44 million.

Meanwhile, the highest type, the New Honda ADV 160 RoadSync, is sold for Rp 42.79 million. That price is on-the-road for the Jakarta and Tangerang area.
