KatadataOTO – Yamaha has released the latest version of the scooter Xmax in Japan. Several changes have been made, especially to the features.

Overall, the design still retains the character of the 2023 Xmax. However, the newest Xmax is now equipped with an electric windshield feature to make it easier for the rider.

The 4.2-inch instrument panel and the 3.2-inch LCD screen are integrated side-by-side. In the previous version, their position was top-and-bottom.

Then, the 2025 Xmax exhaust is equipped with a lightweight muffler with a simple design in a crystal graphite color.

However, the latest version of the Xmax is not yet sold in Indonesia. Yamaha has confirmed that the model has a high chance of being introduced, but they are still observing consumer demand first.

“What's certain is that we have a research team. If consumers indeed want that model, why not,” said Rifki Maulana, Manager of Public Relations, YRA & Community at PT YIMM (Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing) in Jakarta, recently.

Moreover, Indonesia is the production base for the Xmax for various countries like America and Japan.

This means the newest Xmax hitting the roads in Japan is domestically made. Therefore, Yamaha is not ruling out the possibility of selling the latest Xmax to domestic consumers.

“After all, the global factory for the Xmax itself is in Indonesia,” Rifki affirmed.

For your information, in Indonesia, the large Yamaha Xmax scooter is sold in several variants. The Xmax 250 Tech Max is available in one color option with a price tag of Rp 73.26 million on the road in Jakarta.

Meanwhile, the Xmax 250 Connected is available in three colors, namely Elixir Dark Silver, Premium Black, and Luxury Red, priced at Rp 67.96 million.

Larger than the Nmax, the dimensions of the Yamaha Xmax are 2,180 mm x 795 mm x 1,460 mm with a wheelbase of 1,540 mm and a ground clearance of 135 mm.

In the Japanese market, the colors offered have cool tones such as Black Metallic, Matte Dark Gray Metallic, and Bluish Gray Cocktail.
