KatadataOTO – There is the latest news from Yamaha Vixion R at the end of 2025. This sport bike is said to have been discontinued.

Therefore, people in the country can no longer own this product from Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing (YIMM).

"Our Vixion has been discontinued, but specifically the Vixion R," said Rifki Maulana, Manager of Public Relations, YRA & Community at YIMM in Jakarta last week.

Unfortunately, Rifki did not explain further why the Yamaha Vixion R was discontinued in 2025.

However, he confirmed that other types can still be purchased by people in the country.

"So, the standard version of the Vixion is still available, but the R (variant) is no longer available," Rifki added.

On the other hand, with the discontinuation of the Yamaha Vixion R, their sport bike options are reduced.

However, consumers can still choose products from Yamaha's other sport bike lines.

"We are still (selling) the standard Vixion, XSR, R Series, and WR Series," Rifki continued.

It should be noted that although it has been discontinued, the Yamaha Vixion R is still displayed on their official website.

It is mentioned that the Yamaha sport bike relies on a 155.1 cc single-cylinder SOHC engine. It is equipped with liquid cooling and Variable Valve Actuation (VVA).

The Japanese brand claims that the Yamaha Vixion R's engine can produce 19 hp at 10,000 rpm and a peak torque of 14.7 Nm at 8,500 rpm.

In terms of dimensions, the Yamaha Vixion R has a length of 1,950 mm, a width of 720 mm, and a height of 1,025 mm.

Then, the wheelbase is 1,320 mm, the ground clearance is 1,320 mm, and the curb weight is 131 kg.

To support its performance, the Yamaha Vixion R is equipped with an 11-liter fuel tank.

For the suspension, it relies on a telescopic model at the front and a monoshock at the rear.
