KatadataOTO – The DKI Jakarta government is making it easier for its citizens to get around using public transportation. This convenience is provided by offering free rides to 15 groups of people on Transjakarta, MRT and LRT.

This policy is stipulated in Governor's Regulation (Pergub) Number 33 of 2025 concerning the Provision of Free Mass Public Transportation Services. With this, it is hoped that the public will no longer rely on private vehicles.

Moreover, the reach of public transportation in DKI Jakarta has expanded to buffer zones such as Bogor, Bekasi, and Tangerang.
