ACC Inaugurates KBA Gedang Selirang, Enhancing Quality of Life

KatadataOTO – ACC (Astra Credit Companies) once again held a CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) activity, by inaugurating the KBA (Kampung Berseri Astra) Gedang Selirang.

KBA Gedang Selirang is located in Kauman Village RW 02, Pasar Kliwon District, Surakarta.

It is said that KBA always carries 4 pillars, namely health, education, entrepreneurship, and the environment.

“ACC strives to always help improve the quality of life for the community. ACC's support for KBA Gedang Selirang is part of a sustainable effort,” said Hendry Christian Wong, Chief Executive Officer of ACC in a press release quoted (08/08).

It was further stated that KBA Gedang Selirang is expected to create a clean, healthy, knowledgeable, and productive environment.

As for the health pillar, the development of an Integrated Service Post (Posyandu) was carried out. This includes check-ups for toddlers and providing supplementary food.

In the education pillar, ACC provides a 1-semester scholarship to ACIL (Anak Cinta Lingkungan) activists. ACIL itself is said to be an environmental enthusiast community in KBA Gedang Selirang.

As for entrepreneurship, ACC held a batik-making activity using a canting. Then, for the environmental pillar, urban farming was carried out with KWT (Kelompok Wanita Tani).

A number of activities have been carried out by the community, such as planting medicinal plants, catfish farming in buckets, installing biopores, and processing plastic bottle waste.

Previously, ACC had also carried out a number of CSR activities at KBA Gedang Selirang, including training for Posyandu cadres, family financial literacy training, a digital marketing workshop, and waste sorting with ACIL.

It was stated that ACC always implements sustainable social contribution programs, according to the needs of KBA Gedang Selirang.
