KatadataOTO – Various activities have been prepared for the 80th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia (RI). One of them is a People's Festival in the Monas area, Jakarta.
The event will be held on Sunday (17/08) afternoon, more precisely from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM WIB.
Then the people's festival will continue on the same day in the evening from 5:30 PM to 11:00 PM WIB.
Thousands of people are predicted to crowd the Monas area. Therefore, the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) has prepared traffic management measures.
It is hoped that with these traffic management measures, long traffic jams will not occur during the People's Festival.
"It will be situational during the regulation and diversion of traffic flow for the People's Festival event in celebration of the 80th RI Independence Day," said Syafrin Liputo of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency to Antara on Friday (15/08).
Syafrin further stated that they have provided 17 parking locations around Monas up to the HI Roundabout.
So that people who bring private vehicles can use these facilities and not park their vehicles carelessly.
The DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency has also prepared 10,794 Parking Space Units (SRP), consisting of 5,401 for motorcycles and 5,393 for cars.
