KatadataOTOJakarta floods occurred again on Thursday (30/10). This was due to the high rainfall that occurred in the afternoon.

As a result, the Capital was once again submerged in water at several points, causing long traffic jams as vehicles could not pass.

In fact, the Jakarta floods are still happening today, Friday (31/10) morning. According to a report from the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of DKI, puddles of water are present in several locations.

“The latest data at 06.00 WIB shows there are still 33 RTs (neighborhood units) submerged by the flood,” said Mohamad Yohan, Head of the Data and Information Center of BPBD DKI, as quoted by Antara.

Yohan explained that the floods in South Jakarta and East Jakarta had submerged as many as 54 RTs yesterday. Meanwhile, the water level reached 1.6 meters.

However, the water is now gradually receding, so the affected locations have started to decrease this morning.

“The current water level is now in the range of 35-150 cm,” Yohan added.

Nevertheless, Jakarta floods could potentially occur again today. This is because the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts weather ranging from cloudy to moderate intensity rain.

Light intensity rain will fall on Central Jakarta, North Jakarta, and West Jakarta today.

Meanwhile, rain accompanied by lightning will occur in South Jakarta. Then, moderate intensity rain is predicted to occur in East Jakarta.

For that reason, car and motorcycle drivers must continue to be careful. It is mandatory to be aware of the Jakarta flood points.

Do not get stuck in floods or long traffic jams when you want to travel, and when returning from the office later this afternoon.

There are several facilities that can be used by motorcycle and car drivers to monitor the floods today.

Starting from the link belonging to BPBD DKI Jakarta, Google Maps, to Jakarta Public CCTV. So you can choose a safe road to travel on.
