KatadataOTO – To minimize traffic congestion during the Isra Miraj holiday and Chinese New Year 2025, the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) is collaborating with several parties.
Such as the National Police Traffic Corps and the Ministry of Public Works. This time, they will regulate the operation of freight transport.
This step is implemented in the Joint Decree (SKB) Number: KP-DRJD 304 Year 2025, HK,201/2/5/DJPL/2025, 6/1/2025/Korlantas, 01/PKS/Db/2025.
“With this Joint Decree, travel during the long Chinese New Year and Isra Miraj holidays will be subject to regulations and restrictions for the sake of mutual safety, security, comfort, and order,” said Ahmad Yani, Acting Director General of Land Transportation at the Ministry of Transportation, as quoted by Antara.
Yani explained that the restrictions apply to freight vehicles with three or more axles and trucks with trailers.
Also, articulated trucks and vehicles carrying excavated materials, mining products, and building materials.
However, there are a number of vehicles that are not subject to the restrictions. For example, those carrying fuel/gas, bottled drinking water (AMDK), and export or import goods from or to seaports.
Also, money deliveries, disaster relief, livestock and animal feed, fertilizer, and basic necessities.
However, there are several notes that must be observed, such as completing the consignment note with several provisions.
For example, it must be issued by the owner of the goods; the consignment note must contain information on the type of goods, destination, and the name and address, and it must be affixed to the front left windshield.
On the other hand, vehicles carrying imported goods must be equipped with a sticker issued by the competent authority.
He stated that the implementation of freight transport restrictions on toll roads will begin on Friday (24/1) at 00:00 WIB.
It will end on Saturday (25/1) at 24:00 WIB. It will then resume on Wednesday (29/1) from 00:00 to 24:00 WIB.
“The difference from before is that during this long holiday, there are no operational restrictions for freight transport vehicles on non-toll roads,” Yani continued.
He also hopes that the above leeway can be utilized by various parties, including business actors in related sectors.
It should be noted that there are a number of locations for the implementation of freight transport restrictions during the Chinese New Year holiday and Isra Miraj 2025. Here is the summary.
