Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road Under Repair Again Until Weekend

KatadataOTO – Before the long holiday for the Ascension of Jesus Christ from May 29 to June 1, 2025, PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) is carrying out maintenance on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road. This step is being taken to improve the comfort of road users.

The numerous long holidays in recent weeks have been used by the public to travel to various regions. The Jakarta-Cikampek toll road has become one of the most frequently used routes, thus requiring special attention.

"During the reconstruction period, the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road will continue to operate normally in both directions," said Amri Sanusi, Senior Manager of Representative Office 1 at PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, as reported by Antara (19/05).

There are at least three reconstruction work points being carried out. The first is on lane 1 of the Karawang Barat 2 toll exit or off-ramp and is scheduled to be completed on Tuesday (20/5) at 09:00 WIB.

Meanwhile, the second point is at kilometer (Km) 25+815 to Km 26+090 on lane 1 and the outer shoulder towards Cikampek. The work will be carried out from Saturday (17/05) until Thursday (22/5) at 10:00 WIB.

Then, the third point is at Km 38+832 to Km 38+480 on lanes 1 and 2 towards Jakarta.

"Work at the third point will begin on Monday (19/05) at 09:00 WIB until Saturday (24/5) at 08:00 WIB," he added.

To avoid traffic congestion, PT JTT has prepared various scenarios. It is hoped that the risk of severe traffic jams, especially during rush hours, can be avoided.

They claim to have stationed officers at critical points, diverted traffic flow before the work area, narrowed the work area, and prepared a contraflow scheme for when traffic conditions are congested.

Furthermore, the company has socialized the work plan by installing outdoor media such as work advisory banners and Dynamic Message Signs in both directions of the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road. This is so that road users can be aware of the situation in the vicinity.

To avoid congestion, it is recommended to prepare alternative routes and reschedule your journey.
