KatadataOTO – Operation Keselamatan Jaya 2025 has ended on February 23, 2025. Polda Metro Jaya has begun to disclose the results of the activity to the public.

In that operation, at least 29,072 violators were successfully ticketed. This number is a combination of both electronic and manual tickets.

There were at least 12,141 cases caught by Static ETLE (Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement). Then, for Mobile ETLE, there were 16,860 cases, and for manual tickets, there were 71 cases.

Meanwhile, the police also issued warnings in 25,897 cases. The violations were dominated by motorcycle riders.

“Violations were dominated by two-wheeled vehicle riders, such as not wearing an SNI-standard helmet with 10,174 cases and driving against the flow of traffic with 7,576 cases,” said Police Grand Commissioner Ade Ary Syam Indradi, Head of Public Relations for Polda Metro Jaya, as reported by Antara (26/02).

In addition, there were 1,594 cases of violating road markings and two cases of Vehicle Registration Number Plates (TNKB) not complying with regulations.

Meanwhile, for four-wheeled vehicles, the most common violation was not using a seatbelt. At least 8,462 cases were caught during Operation Keselamatan 2025.

Then there were also 480 cases of using a mobile phone while driving and two cases of using rotators/sirens/strobes without permission.

"Then there were 21 cases of buses with 'telolet' horns, and 60 cases of ODOL (Over Load Over Dimension) vehicles," Ade Ary then affirmed.

It should be noted that Operation Keselamatan is a routine activity carried out every year before the fasting month. Thus, it is hoped that during the homecoming season, the public will be accustomed to obeying traffic rules, so the risk of violations and accidents can be reduced.

Operation Keselamatan itself is conducted throughout Indonesia, targeting different violations in each jurisdiction. This is adjusted to the habits of the community in each respective area.

In addition to enforcement, Polda Metro Jaya is also actively conducting outreach to increase public awareness, such as education through print, electronic, and social media.
