KatadataOTO – Kawasaki has a surprise for automotive lovers. They have just introduced their latest innovation.

Quoting Newatlas on Wednesday (09/04), the brand from the Land of the Rising Sun introduced a unique product named Corleo at an exhibition in Osaka, Japan.

Kawasaki Corleo was introduced with the idea of creating something different from the usual vehicles we know,” wrote Greatbiker.

Indeed, in terms of appearance, the Kawasaki Corleo does not use a pair of wheels. Instead, the product relies on four legs designed to run.

In fact, the four legs are embedded with soles and joints that can bend when in use.

So, in general, the Kawasaki Corleo is truly like a robotic dog. The owner can then feel the sensation of riding a large animal.

Moreover, Kawasaki's new product carries a 150 cc hydrogen engine and is claimed to be energy-efficient and environmentally friendly.

Speaking of specifications, they were not explained in detail. However, its capacity is equivalent to the Honda PCX and Yamaha Nmax scooters.

For your information, all hydrogen tanks are stored in the rear legs. It is then channeled to the power unit in the front legs to generate electricity.

Making it even more unique, one of the advantages of the Kawasaki Corleo is that it can be used anywhere, such as traversing various road terrains.

For example, smooth, rough, stepped, steep roads, and it can even be used to explore narrow terrains.

In a demo video, the Kawasaki Corleo was able to climb a rocky mountain with great ease.

Quoting Fuelcellsworks, the rear legs of the Kawasaki Corleo can move up and down independently.

Meanwhile, the front legs are equipped with a swingarm like a motorcycle. Thus, it can dampen shocks when used by the owner.

On the other hand, each of the Kawasaki Corleo's legs is fitted with rubber-based pads, useful for gripping surfaces, from rocky roads to grassy areas.

To further pamper the owner, Kawasaki has equipped its product with a digital instrument panel. It can display hydrogen consumption, navigation, and center of gravity monitoring.

At night, the instrument panel can display the path being taken. This can increase the user's visibility and safety.

Unfortunately, information regarding the detailed specifications or the price of the Kawasaki Corleo has not yet been announced to consumers.

Because Kawasaki is reportedly only going to launch and market the product in 2050.
