KatadataOTO – Many car and motorcycle riders are still caught committing traffic violations. Ranging from driving against the flow of traffic, not using a helmet, to using a noisy exhaust.
Based on this, the National Police Traffic Corps (Korlantas) intends to hold the 2025 Compliance Operation simultaneously throughout Indonesia.
This activity is intentionally carried out with the aim of creating conditions of Security, Safety, Order, and Smooth Traffic Flow (Kamseltibcarlantas).
"The police, in this case the National Police Traffic Corps and its subordinate Traffic Directorates, will carry out the 2025 Compliance Operation," said Aries Syahbudin, Head of Operations for the National Police Traffic Corps, in an official statement on Thursday (10/07).
Aries explained that the 2025 Compliance Operation will be carried out independently in each jurisdiction.
This way, rider compliance with traffic rules will increase in the future.
This will reduce violations on the road and lower the accident rate that often occurs in the country.
"The goal is to create conditions of traffic safety, order, and smoothness following the declaration of the Road Traffic and Transportation Safety Day, which was announced on September 19 by the five pillars of safety," he continued.
Later, in the implementation of the 2025 Compliance Operation, the police will prioritize three aspects.
Starting from pre-emptive (education), preventive (prevention) to repressive (psychological pressure). All will be carried out simultaneously or concurrently.
"Preventive activities include face-to-face education with communities, both two-wheeled and four-wheeled," Aries added.
Furthermore, the National Police Traffic Corps also wants to hold a 'coffee together' session with drivers. This is to understand the problems on the streets.
Furthermore, to provide appeals and education regarding the importance of traffic safety for car and motorcycle owners on the highway.
"We will also carry out law enforcement activities against violations that have the potential to cause traffic accidents," Aries affirmed.
Some of the main violations focused on in the 2025 Jaya Operation are driving against the flow of traffic, operating smart gadgets while driving, and not wearing a helmet.
Not to forget violations such as underage drivers. This is to provide a deterrent effect to the public.
Therefore, the public is asked to always obey the traffic rules enforced by the police.
It should be noted that the 2025 Compliance Operation will start on Monday (14/07). It will then end at the end of the month, on July 27, 2025.
