KatadataOTO – The Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) and BUMN are holding a free homecoming program. This program is expected to be joined by at least 100,000 participants, divided into three modes of transportation.

The program, titled "Homecoming with BUMN," is expected to make it easier for the public to return to their hometowns.

“This joint homecoming agenda is similar to policies for lowering airplane ticket prices or adding train cars to make it easier for the public," said Erick Thohir, Minister of BUMN, as reported by Antara (03/04).

At least 78 BUMN companies are involved, with three modes of transportation: 1,360 Buses (67,000 travelers), 90 train sets (28,000 travelers), and 26 ships (5,000 travelers). There are 200 destination Cities/Regencies available throughout Indonesia.

Meanwhile, Rivan A. Purwantono, President Director of Jasa Raharja and Coordinating Chairman of the 2025 BUMN Free Homecoming, revealed that his party prioritizes the aspect of safety. One of their efforts is to ensure that the entire fleet has passed roadworthiness tests and that the drivers are licensed.

"All buses, trains, and ships used must meet safety standards. In addition, we also provide insurance coverage for the travelers to give them a sense of security during the journey," he affirmed.

It should be noted that each BUMN has different requirements and registration times. Therefore, the public is expected to pay close attention to the provisions.

For example, Jasa Marga started online registration from March 10 to 17, 2025, with a quota of 1,350 tickets. Meanwhile, the departure will be conducted simultaneously on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at 06:00 AM WIB from the Padepokan Pencak Silat TMII departure point.

There are 5 main destination cities in this year's free homecoming program, ranging from Semarang, Magelang, Yogyakarta, Solo, to Surabaya.
