KatadataOTO – The commercial vehicle market was turbulent in 2025. However, Mitsubishi Fuso managed to achieve positive results.
The Japanese brand claims that they can continue to show their dominance this year.
"From January to November 2025, Mitsubishi Fuso's market share was 39.9 percent," said Aji Jaya, Sales Marketing Director of KTB in Surabaya, East Java, on Wednesday (10/12).
Aji did not deny that the commercial vehicle market has been very challenging, especially since the beginning of the year.
However, they were still able to achieve excellent results, thus continuing to be the market leader this year.
Furthermore, Aji admitted there are several strategies they have implemented, such as strengthening after-sales services in each region.
"We are strengthening after-sales services with what we call a mosaic program. Because consumers in one region can be different from consumers in other regions," he continued.
So they can adjust to the needs of potential buyers, such as by offering various attractive programs.
All programs offered are fully entrusted to each dealer in all regions.
"For example, the program in Java is different from the one in Sulawesi or Kalimantan. Automatically, it will be easier for them to choose the product they want to buy," said Aji.
Then, Mitsubishi Fuso also strengthened its dealer network, expanding into remote areas of the country.
That way, Mitsubishi Fuso consumers throughout the country can be served optimally.
"Throughout Indonesia, there are 222 locations in each district, area, and region," Aji added.
Armed with the various steps above, Mitsubishi Fuso is able to entice consumers to use their products.
The achievement in 2025 strengthens Mitsubishi Fuso's commitment as a reliable business partner for consumers.
For your information, according to data from the Association of Indonesian Automotive Industries (Gaikindo), Mitsubishi Fuso recorded retail sales of 22,810 units from January to November 2025.
Meanwhile, in terms of distribution from factory to dealer (wholesales), the brand from the Land of Sakura recorded 22,681 units.
The figures above represent a positive achievement for Mitsubishi Fuso, considering the commercial vehicle market has been quite turbulent this year.
Various obstacles have faced the automotive industry, starting with a weakening economic situation.
Credit tightening has also been a culprit. Then, natural disasters and a series of long holidays have made people reluctant to spend their money.
