KatadataOTO – The car carrying Alamudin Dimyati Rois, a member of the DPR, had an accident at KM 315 of the Pemalang-Batang toll road in Petarukan, Pemalang Regency. The incident, which occurred early Friday morning, resulted in the deaths of two people.
Reporting from Antara, the incident began when the Toyota Kijang Innova H 1980 CM carrying Alamudin Dimyati Rois was traveling from west to east. Upon arriving at the scene around 02:40 AM WIB, the car was in the right lane attempting to overtake a vehicle in front of it.
"The car tried to overtake from the left, but it turned out there was a truck traveling in the same direction ahead," he said.
The distance between the two vehicles was too close, making a collision unavoidable. The Toyota Kijang used by Alamudin Dimyati Rois then hit the rear of the Fuso truck.
As a result of the accident, the car's driver and Alamudin Dimyati Rois were injured and have received treatment at the hospital. The PKB politician reportedly suffered a moderate head injury, a fracture in his right wrist, ring finger, and a laceration on his left temple.
In addition to the injured, the accident also caused two fatalities. The bodies have been taken to the nearest hospital.
Unfortunately, that accident was not the only incident that occurred today. A similar incident also occurred on the Jombang toll road, at KM 697 B, involving a Lamborghini Revuelto and a Suzuki S-Presso.
According to police statements, the accident happened because the driver of the Lamborghini Revuelto did not maintain a safe distance while driving on the toll road.
The supercar was reportedly traveling from Surabaya to Yogyakarta at a speed of 120 km/h. Fortunately, there were no fatalities in the incident.
The passengers and drivers of the Lamborghini and Suzuki S-Presso reportedly only sustained minor injuries. However, the financial losses are estimated to be in the billions of rupiah.
