KatadataOTO – The Provincial Government (Pemprov) of DKI Jakarta is once again pampering motorcycle and car owners. They are not only holding a vehicle tax amnesty.
But they are also issuing a regional tax incentive policy in the form of a reduction in the Motor Vehicle Fuel Tax (PBBKB) for the people of DKI Jakarta.
This policy is stated in Governor's Decree Number 542 of 2025 concerning the Reduction of Motor Vehicle Fuel Tax.
The fuel tax incentive is given to drivers as a step to maintain economic stability.
Additionally, it aims to help control inflation and support national defense and security operations.
"This PBBKB reduction is expected to lower the burden of fuel costs, especially for public transportation and vehicles that support national defense," said Lusiana Herawati, Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Revenue Agency on the official Bapenda website, Thursday (31/07).
Lusiana stated that the fuel tax incentive is a form of the regional government's concern for the community's economic condition.
Furthermore, the fuel tax incentive is expected to support national strategic tasks.
"The hope is that this will also help maintain public purchasing power and encourage operational efficiency in various sectors," Lusiana emphasized.
Furthermore, Lusiana stated that with the provision of the fuel tax incentive, it is hoped that taxpayers will become more compliant in fulfilling their obligations.
Such as by reporting and paying taxes according to the applicable regulations.
Furthermore, by taking into account the established reduction rates.
For your information, the fuel tax incentive provided by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has been in effect since July 22, 2025.
On the other hand, a similar sentiment was expressed by Pramono Anung, the Governor of DKI Jakarta. He also hopes that the policy will have a positive impact.
Considering that the current national economic condition is not doing well.
"We want to control inflation so it doesn't rise too high because the Jakarta government is one that seriously controls inflation," said Pramono.
It should be noted that the fuel tax incentive provided by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government ranges from 50 percent to 80 percent.
In addition, there are several vehicles that can take advantage of this relief, here is the summary.
