KatadataOTO – The one-way system from GT Krapyak Km 419+800 to GT Cikopo Km 72 towards Jakarta is still being implemented. The traffic engineering is planned to be stopped at 08:00 AM WIB.

This traffic engineering is implemented to facilitate people who are still traveling back to Jakarta after the 2025 Eid holiday. Moreover, the number of vehicles heading to the Capital City from the east is still considered high.

However, based on a post by PT Jasa Marga on the social media platform X, the one-way system is at the discretion of the police. Therefore, it is possible that there will be changes at any time.

Although the one-way system continues, the contraflow system from KM 70 to KM 47 has been stopped since Monday (07/04) at 23:10 WIB. This policy was implemented so that people wishing to travel from Jakarta to the east can pass more freely.

Although many are still traveling to the Capital City, the police claim to have successfully managed the public during the exodus and return flows of the 2025 Eid holiday. This is because the number of accidents has successfully decreased compared to the previous year.

“Traffic accidents decreased from 3,728 to 2,637 during the 2025 operation. So there is a 30 percent decrease in the number of accidents,” said Inspector General of Police Agus Suryonugroho, Head of the National Police Traffic Corps (Kakorlantas), as reported by Antara (07/04).

Not only that, traffic congestion is also considered to have been successfully managed in various ways. This includes opening functional toll roads which are believed to have broken up the concentration of traffic density.

One of them is the Jakarta Cikampek II South toll road, which has been functionally opened since April 2, 2025. This step aims to facilitate the travel of car users from the south (Bandung) towards the Jabodetabek area.

“This route is intended for category one vehicles, non-buses and non-trucks,” said Lisye Octaviana, Corporate Communication & Community Development Group Head of Jasa Marga, to Antara on Wednesday (02/04).

This 31.25 km long toll road is opened without a tariff and is designed to help reduce congestion at the Dawuan Interchange KM 66 B.

Because this location is the meeting point for traffic flows from the Trans-Java direction and Bandung, West Java.
