KatadataOTO – Touts or jockeys for the Puncak alternative route, Bogor, West Java often disturb four-wheeled vehicle users. Especially during the long holiday for Isra Miraj and Chinese New Year 2025.

They are often found on the side of the Puncak Toll Exit. Then they offer their services to drivers at exorbitant prices.

This makes tourists feel disturbed by their actions. Therefore, the Bogor Police will take action against the touts on the Puncak alternative route.

“For the jockeys, we have formed a task force (satgas) to anticipate them. The police will patrol every hour, for example on the toll road,” said AKP Rizky Guntama, Head of the Bogor Police Traffic Unit, to Antara on Monday (27/1).

Rizky revealed that the touts also often cut into vehicle queues. This obstructs tourists' cars on their way to the Puncak Bogor route.

This then impacts vehicle buildup at the Puncak Toll Exit. Furthermore, it has the potential to create long traffic jams.

“Meanwhile, on the alternative routes, patrols are also conducted, both by the local police (Polsek) and the Traffic Unit (Satlantas). This is to anticipate jockeys who take tourists uphill by charging exorbitant prices,” he continued.

With this, it is hoped that the public will feel comfortable and safe when visiting Puncak Bogor during the Isra Miraj and Chinese New Year 2025 holidays.

On the other hand, just like during long holidays in general, the police are implementing several traffic engineering measures there.

For example, the odd-even system in Puncak Bogor and the one-way system, commonly called one way. All will be in effect from Friday (24/1) to Wednesday (29/1).

“The one-way system remains situational. If the traffic from Jakarta towards Puncak is heavy, we will implement the one-way system uphill,” said Rizky.

Rizky further explained that this traffic engineering is usually applied in the morning for uphill traffic and in the afternoon for downhill traffic.

Tourists are also asked to comply with the various regulations from the police. This is important to avoid worsening the traffic congestion.

Moreover, the Bogor Police have deployed 350 joint officers for the long holiday of Isra Miraj and Chinese New Year 2025. They have the right to turn you back to your city of origin if you violate traffic rules.

Of course, you don't want this to happen and disrupt your holiday. Therefore, you must follow the Puncak one-way and odd-even systems.
