KatadataOTO – A number of Shell gas stations (SPBU - Public Fuel Filling Stations) have run out of fuel (BBM - Bahan Bakar Minyak). As a result, they cannot serve the public.
According to KatadataOTO's monitoring in the Kranggan area, Bekasi, West Java, all of their gasoline products are unavailable. Such as Shell Super, V-Power, V-Power Diesel, and V-Power Nitro+.
“We've been out of fuel for three days now, everything is empty,” said a salesperson when met on Friday (31/1).
He revealed that they have not received a fuel supply for the past three days. So they cannot serve purchases.
According to him, at first, only Shell V-Power, V-Power Diesel, Diesel Extra, and V-Power Nitro+ were out of stock.
“V-Power has been empty for almost two weeks. As for Shell Super, we just ran out three days ago,” he said.
The gas station staff could not explain why they have not received a fuel supply for days like this.
However, under normal conditions, they usually receive shipments of Shell Super and the others almost every day.
“There are several Shell gas stations experiencing the same thing as us. Except for the large gas stations, they still have some, but the amount (of fuel) is limited,” he continued.
A similar sentiment was expressed by a salesperson at the Shell gas station on Jalan Alternatif Cibubur, Bogor, West Java. They have also run out of fuel to sell.
“All the fuel is gone, we ran out yesterday around half past nine,” he said.
This particular attendant explained that the fuel delivery was delayed. Therefore, they have no fuel to offer.
They have not yet provided certainty on when Shell Super, V-Power, and others will be delivered. So they are still unable to serve purchases.
Nevertheless, a number of facilities remain open today. Such as Shell Select and the workshop if people need vehicle repairs.
Also, if you want to perform maintenance such as changing engine oil, gear oil, brake pads, or other components.
For your information, a number of people had previously complained about the difficulty of getting fuel at Shell gas stations over the past few days.
Several filling stations did not have stock to sell. This forced drivers to switch to other brands or to Pertamina.
Meanwhile, Shell Indonesia has responded to the situation being experienced by a number of their gas stations.
“Shell Indonesia would like to inform you that there are currently constraints in the procurement and distribution of fuel products,” said Ingrid Siburian, President Director & Managing Director Mobility, Shell Indonesia when contacted by KatadataOTO.
Ingrid also explained that her party is continuously working to rectify the situation. This is so that the public can purchase Shell fuel again soon.
