KatadataOTO – The National Police Traffic Corps (Korlantas) continues to improve its services. Especially in the current digital era.

Recently, the police have introduced various applications. Such as the National Precision Driving License (SINAR) and the National Digital Samsat (SIGNAL).

Both applications are claimed to be tangible proof of the National Police Traffic Corps' digital service transformation and efforts to make things easier for the public.

This way, the police can move towards becoming a Predictive, Responsible, and Transparent with Justice (Presisi) institution.

“We want to provide public services that are more accessible, efficient, and free from illegal levies,” said Police Brigadier General Wibowo, Director of Registration and Identification of the National Police Traffic Corps, to Antara on Tuesday (11/11).

Wibowo explained that through the SINAR application, the public can renew their A and C driving licenses online.

All processes, such as registration, health checks, and payment, are done through a smart device, making it easier for the public.

Moreover, after everything is completed, the driving license will be sent directly to your home via Pos Indonesia's service.

Meanwhile, SIGNAL makes it easier for vehicle owners to pay car and motorcycle taxes.

The application integrates a number of existing systems, such as those of the National Police, Jasa Raharja, and Regional Revenue Agencies (Bapenda) throughout Indonesia.

The public can pay taxes without having to go to the Samsat office, thus avoiding the usual long queues.

Wibowo emphasized that the digitalization carried out by the Directorate of Registration and Identification is not just about technological modernization, but also about a change in the work culture within the National Police.

Thanks to all the fully digital systems, the National Police are encouraged to be more responsive, adaptive, and focused on the quality of public services.

“The reform of the National Police cannot be seen only from the law enforcement side, but also from how the National Police provide services that make it easier for the public,” Wibowo continued.

In addition, this innovation also supports the policy direction of the Head of the National Police Traffic Corps, Police Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, thus accelerating the digitalization of all traffic service lines.

Starting from vehicle registration to big data-based data management, so that police services can improve.

“This revitalization of the Directorate of Registration and Identification is a real example of the transformation (at Korlantas) in progress,” Wibowo affirmed.

In addition, the Directorate of Registration and Identification is currently continuing to develop E-BPKB and Digital ID Regident. These two programs will be part of the national police's digital service ecosystem.

Then everything can be integrated with national data, so that all public vehicle matters are no longer difficult.

“With data integration and the use of AI technology, we can improve the validation, accuracy, and speed of public services in the traffic sector,” Wibowo concluded.
