KatadataOTO – The Korlantas Polri, together with the Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya, revealed that the number of traffic accidents during Operation Zebra 2025 in Jakarta has decreased. Although the decrease is not significant, this record is considered a positive achievement.

Throughout the two-week operation, 3,288 incidents were recorded.

"The number of incidents in 2025 was 3,288, a decrease of 1.44 percent compared to 2024, which had 3,336 incidents," explained Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, Head of the National Police Traffic Corps (09/12).

This decrease also impacted the number of fatalities. During Operation Zebra 2025, there were 361 fatalities, a decrease of 24.95 percent (120 lives) compared to 481 fatalities in 2024.

Meanwhile, the number of seriously injured victims was 542 people, an increase of 6.07 percent compared to 511 people in 2024.

“However, for victims with minor injuries, there were 4,111 people, an increase of 0.15 percent compared to 4,105 people in 2024,” said Agus.

Meanwhile, the total material loss during Operation Zebra 2025 was recorded at IDR 6.59 billion. This figure is up 3.76 percent compared to IDR 6.35 billion in 2024.

It was previously reported that during Operation Zebra, the Metro Jaya Regional Police Traffic Directorate recorded a total of 220,427 violations.

"The enforcement data for Operation Zebra 2025 shows 220,427 violations. This is a decrease of 16 percent, or 42,237, compared to 2024, which had 262,664 cases," said Agus.

Of that total, he continued, violations recorded by ETLE amounted to 41,051, a 46 percent increase compared to 2024.

"Then, manual ticketing was recorded at 69,488, a decrease of 65 percent compared to 196,389 in 2024," he said.
