Suzuki Fronx and Satria Made in Indonesia Officially Exported

Export of two new products, Suzuki Fronx and Satria, has officially commenced, targeting several countries in the ASEAN region.

KatadataOTO – PT Suzuki Indomobil Motor (SIM) has officially started exporting the Suzuki Fronx and Suzuki Satria. The two Indonesian-made vehicles began shipping today (18/11). 

The ceremony was held at the Suzuki factory located in Cikarang, West Java. 

It was stated that both models will be exported to the ASEAN region. The inaugural export of the Suzuki Fronx and Satria proves the factory's capability for other countries' markets. 

"Today's achievement is the fruit of a journey since 1970. We are committed to producing vehicles according to market needs to make the industry stronger,” said Minoru Amano, President Director of SIS in his speech.

The Suzuki Cikarang factory itself has been operating since 2014. The facility has a capacity of 107 thousand cars per year. 

Meanwhile, the Suzuki Satria is produced at the Tambun factory. Its capacity reaches 128 thousand motorcycles and 92 thousand cars per year. 

The Suzuki Cikarang factory itself was built with an investment of IDR 22 trillion. It also involves 4,700 local employees. 

To date, Suzuki Indonesia is said to have produced tens of millions of motor vehicles. 

Motorcycle production totals 11.8 million units. Meanwhile, four-wheeled vehicle production has reached 3.2 million units. 

All factory activities are said to involve MSMEs. Their involvement reaches 32 percent. 

For Suzuki's achievements above, the government through the Ministry of Industry expressed its appreciation.

This Japanese brand is considered to have strengthened the Indonesian automotive industry. 

"The contribution of the automotive sector cannot only be seen from the numbers. This industry grows together and creates a solid industry," explained Faisol Riza, Deputy Minister of Industry, in his speech. 

It was further stated that through export activities, it is increasingly confirmed that Indonesia is ready to enter the global market.
