KatadataOTO – After the one way system was previously implemented regionally, the police have finally officially launched a national one way system. This policy was implemented considering the high number of vehicles passing through several road sections, especially the Trans-Java toll road.
Under this policy, the one way system is enforced from KM 70 of the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road to KM 414 of the Kalikangkung Toll Gate. The regulation is then extended on the Semarang toll road section from KM 429 to KM 442.
In addition, a contraflow system has also been implemented to reduce traffic congestion. This policy is implemented starting from KM 36 to KM 70 of the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road.
The police have also prepared several toll sections that will be opened functionally to avoid severe congestion. Thus, it is hoped that travelers can have more route options and reduce the concentration of density at one point.
In addition, the police are also implementing an odd-even system on the Trans-Java toll road, which is monitored directly using ETLE cameras. Vehicles with license plates that do not match the date may be diverted to arterial roads.
Therefore, travelers are advised to prepare thoroughly. It is hoped that the journey back to their hometowns can be smooth without any obstacles.
It was previously reported that there has been an increase in traffic flow since Thursday (27/03). The National Police Traffic Corps recorded nearly 1 million cars leaving Jakarta through four main toll gates.
"Based on Jasa Marga data, the cumulative traffic volume leaving Jakarta from D-10 to D-5 of Eid al-Fitr 2025 reached 955,923 vehicles," said Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, Head of the National Police Traffic Corps, on the official National Police Public Relations website, Friday (28/03).
Although the number of travelers this year is expected to decrease, traffic is still quite congested. Therefore, the government and the police are implementing various methods to ensure the journey can proceed smoothly.
However, travelers, especially drivers, are expected to remain cautious during the journey. Be sure to rest at the designated areas when you feel tired.
