KatadataOTO – PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) is adding 14 fleets to serve road users passing through TB Simatupang. The presence of new buses is expected to shorten the headway between vehicles.
Thus, it is hoped that private vehicle users will be encouraged to switch to public transportation.
"For comfort on the road, especially around TB Simatupang, we invite the public to use Transjakarta services," said Ayu Wardhani, Head of the Public Relations and CSR Department of Transjakarta.
Currently, Transjakarta operates 17 routes that pass through TB Simatupang Road. All of them continue to operate optimally despite excavation work at various points.
The routes operated are diverse, consisting of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT), non-BRT, Royaltrans, and Mikrotrans services. The BRT consists of Corridor 8 (Lebak Bulus–Pasar Baru).
Then, the non-BRT routes are D21 (UI–Lebak Bulus), D41 (Sawangan–Lebak Bulus via Desari Toll Road), 7A (Kampung Rambutan–Lebak Bulus), and 7E (Kampung Rambutan–Ragunan).
Next are S21 (Ciputat–CSW), S22 (Ciputat–Kampung Rambutan), 6H (Senen–Lebak Bulus), and 1E (Pondok Labu–Blok M).
Next are the Royaltrans routes S21 (BSD Terminal–Fatmawati), S14 (Summarecon Serpong–Lebak Bulus), and S31 (Bintaro–Fatmawati).
As for Mikrotrans, they are JAK102 (Blok M–Lebak Bulus), JAK49 (Lebak Bulus–Cipulir), JAK95 (Lebak Bulus Terminal–Pasar Minggu Terminal), JAK93 (Jeruk Purut–Kebayoran Lama), and JAK31 (Blok M–Andara).
It should be noted that TB Simatupang is currently under the spotlight of various parties, especially the DKI Jakarta government. This is because a National Strategic Project is underway in the area, which is taking up road space.
As a result, the traffic congestion has become more severe than on normal days. There are seven points that are a focus for Transjakarta, and officers have been stationed from 06:00 to 22:00 WIB to manage the traffic.
In addition, the DKI Jakarta government has also made several efforts to alleviate the congestion more quickly. One of them is by converting sidewalks into roads that can be used by vehicles.
The government is also encouraging road users to utilize public transportation such as the MRT and Transjakarta so that congestion can be reduced.
