Uya Kuya's Garage Contents After His House Was Looted

KatadataOTO – Surya Utama alias Uya Kuya is currently in the public spotlight. This is because his private home was stormed by demonstrators on Saturday (30/08) night.

The residence of the Commission IX member of the DPR RI was attacked by unknown persons. Many valuable items were then looted.

The condition of Uya Kuya's house, located in the Duren Sawit area, East Jakarta, appeared to be in disarray. A number of facilities were damaged due to the mob attack.

According to circulating news, the mob action at the capital city artist's residence is suspected to be related to a viral video of him dancing at the MPR RI Annual Session yesterday.

The act was considered to have sparked public anger. As a result, the demonstrators chose to attack Uya Kuya's house.

However, Uya Kuya had already uploaded an apology video through his personal Instagram account.

"With all humility, I sincerely apologize to the people of Indonesia," said Uya Kuya in the post.

Uya claimed he did not intend to dance during the MPR RI Annual Session. He promised to be more careful in his actions in the future.

He will also be serious in representing the Indonesian people as a member of the DPR RI.

"I ask for forgiveness from Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. I am committed to becoming a better person," Uya affirmed.

The amount above consists of land and buildings spread across nine locations. This particular asset is valued at IDR 51.5 billion.
