KatadataOTO briefly tested the Mitsubishi Destinator SUV on the sidelines of the GIIAS 2025 event; here's the review.
KatadataOTO – The Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) Mitsubishi Destinator became the main highlight at the Mitsubishi booth during GIIAS 2025. This model is an attractive alternative, especially for Xpander consumers who want to 'upgrade'.
Recently, KatadataOTO had the opportunity to briefly test drive the Mitsubishi Destinator in the BSD City area.
The unit we used was the Ultimate type, just below the Ultimate Premium, so its adjustments like the steering wheel and seats are not yet electric and it is not equipped with a Yamaha audio system.
The Ultimate variant is currently offered at around IDR 465 million on the road in Jakarta. Here is a review of the driving impression.
In an SUV, a high seating position is important to increase comfort and visibility for the driver.
However, we felt the driving position was less than optimal for drivers with a height of around 150 cm and above.
The seat adjustment is still manual. The forward view is slightly poor because the seat still doesn't feel high even when adjusted to its maximum height.
However, this was not yet at a disruptive level. We could still make tilt adjustments to the steering wheel so it didn't obstruct the forward view.
We started the journey in the second-row seats. The cabin felt spacious, and there were a number of functional storage compartments around the seats.
