The Nio Firefly EV electric car is ready to add to the compact eco-friendly vehicle options in Indonesia.
The registered design title is front vehicle bumper. Unfortunately, there is no visual of the entire vehicle.
However, judging from the headlight design, the registered model is identical to the Nio Firefly EV.
The electric car has attracted attention in China because its headlights and taillights resemble the camera of the latest iPhone smartphone. At a glance, its shape is similar to the Honda e electric car.
The Firefly EV has dimensions of 4,003 mm in length x 1,781 mm in width x 1,557 mm in height, while its wheelbase is 2,615 mm. This is slightly longer than the Japanese model, the Honda e.
Overall, its size is not much different from the BYD Dolphin, with dimensions of L x W x H at 4,290 mm x 1,770 mm x 1,570 mm.
In terms of powertrain, the Nio Firefly EV is equipped with a 141 hp electric motor supported by a swappable LFP (Lithium Ferro Phosphate) battery.
There is no complete information regarding the battery capacity yet. However, the model is believed to have a range of more than 225 km.
Nio has stated that the Firefly EV is intended to attract more consumers in various segments. Therefore, there is a chance its price will be competitive and not much different from its rivals in the same class.
If it comes to Indonesia, the Nio Firefly EV will have to compete with several models such as the BYD Dolphin and the Neta V-II. Both are sold in the Rp 200 million to Rp 400 million range.
