KatadataOTO – Zeekr is one of the newcomers from China that is enlivening the automotive market in Indonesia. Last year, the brand debuted at GJAW (Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week) 2024.

The manufacturer has ambitions to challenge other renowned luxury brands like BMW and Mercedes-Benz. They do not deny that there are various challenges in attracting high-end consumers to switch.

During its initial introduction, Zeekr brought in two models at once, namely the Zeekr X and 009. Both are targeting high-end consumers, with an estimated price of IDR 1 billion to IDR 2 billion.

Although the listed price is still an estimate, consumers can already place orders for the vehicles. The units are planned to be delivered to consumers starting from January-February 2025, depending on the model.

“For the Zeekr X, we can deliver it in January 2025, while the 009 will be in February,” said Temmy Wiradjaja, CEO of PT Premium Auto Prima at ICE BSD some time ago.

To reach consumers, Zeekr will also expand its market and open four dealerships. Not only in Jakarta, but also in other potential major cities.

Specifically for the Jakarta area, a Zeekr Center was established in Pondok Indah. However, upon investigation, according to information on Google Maps, the said location is currently listed as temporarily closed.

As of last month, there has been no further news from Zeekr regarding unit deliveries and future sales plans.
