According to local media observations, the eMO EV has larger dimensions than the Perodua Myvi, which is marketed as the Daihatsu Sirion facelift in the country.

There's a chance the eMO EV will later launch as an electric compact SUV and not a hatchback.

There isn't much information about the technical specifications yet. But at the KLIMS (Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show) 2024 exhibition,
it was revealed that the eMO EV uses an LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery.

The power storage is supplied by CATL, offering a range of 400 km to 410 km on a single charge. The car can then accelerate from 0-100 km/h in about six seconds.

Seeing the rapid development of the eMO EV, the new model is indicated to be launching soon this year.

Meanwhile in Indonesia, PT ADM (Astra Daihatsu Motor) is still reluctant to talk much about its electrification lineup.

However, it is confirmed that their newest facility can assemble electrification products for the domestic market.

“This is also a continuation of our production which recently surpassed eight million units. Hopefully, this year it will soon reach nine million,” said Sri Agung Handayani, Marketing and Corporate Communication Director of PT ADM in Jakarta some time ago.

Agung emphasized that Daihatsu's main focus is to first consider first-time car buyers. Considering that electrified cars tend to be more expensive than conventional vehicles.

Therefore, according to Daihatsu, there are still many things to consider before selling hybrid or EV electrification lineups to domestic consumers.
