According to Gaikindo's data, electric car wholesales in July 2025 decreased by 12.2 percent.

An impressive record amidst the onslaught of electric cars with very competitive price tags offered by domestic manufacturers.
In the future, hybrid car wholesales are also predicted to rise again. This is because at GIIAS 2025, many new products like the Honda Step WGN e:HEV and the Daihatsu Rocky Hybrid have been officially launched.
Meanwhile, wholesales of Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs) plummeted by 71.9 percent during the seventh month of 2025.
Gaikindo data shows that last month only 347 PHEV units were distributed from factories to dealers. Whereas in June 2025, it was at the level of 1,237 units.
However, domestic PHEV wholesales have not been very good since the beginning of the year. In January, there were only 16 units, February and March had 17 units, April had 41 units, and May had 413 units.
