KatadataOTO – Hyundai Staria Electric has made its debut at the 2026 Brussels Motor Show. This car will be sent to several countries to strengthen their position as one of the world's electric vehicle manufacturers.
Reporting from Paultan, the Hyundai Staria Electric comes as a premium MPV in two types: Luxury and Wagon. Both can be distinguished by their passenger capacity.
The Luxury type comes with a seven-passenger capacity, while the Wagon has a nine-passenger capacity. However, the car's dimensions remain the same: 5,255 mm in length, 1,995 mm in width, 1,990 mm in height, and a wheelbase of 3,275 mm.
For the Luxury type, the second-row seats are captain seats, so they can only accommodate two passengers while providing optimal comfort. The third row can then be occupied by three people.
As for the Wagon type, the configuration is different as it can accommodate three passengers in the second row. However, Hyundai reveals that the seats can still be shifted to enhance comfort during the journey.
The difference in passenger numbers also means the luggage capacity is not the same. Because it can carry fewer people, the Luxury type has a larger trunk of 435 liters, while the Wagon has only 1,303 liters.
Inside the Staria Electric's cabin, the company has embedded various comforts. One of them is a 12.3-inch screen used for the driver's instruments and entertainment.
This feature can also connect to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. So customers can stay connected with their smartphones during the journey.
The Hyundai Staria is equipped with an 84 kWh lithium-ion battery capable of traveling up to 400 km. The car is equipped with a Fast Charging feature, allowing it to charge from 10 percent to 80 percent in just 20 minutes.
The battery then powers an electric motor to produce 215 hp and 350 Nm of torque. Thanks to this, the car can reach a maximum speed of 184 km per hour.
Meanwhile, for driving safety, the manufacturer has installed Hyundai SmartSense technology. It includes various excellent features such as Forward Collision Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Following Assist, Highway Driving Assist, Smart Cruise Control and Intelligent Speed Limit Assist.
