In early 2025, Hyundai Motors Indonesia revealed its interest in launching the Staria EV in the country.
“So for the Staria, we are indeed considering whether there will be a hybrid version or even an EV (Electric Vehicle),” said Fransiscus Soerjopranoto, COO (Chief Operating Officer) of HMID.
According to Frans, this is being done to encourage the public, especially the upper-middle class, to use environmentally friendly four-wheeled vehicles.
