KatadataOTO – Jaecoo J5 EV is one of the newest electric cars launching in Indonesia in 2025. The product is claimed to have received a positive response from the national automotive market.
In fact, after being on the market for some time, this Electric Vehicle (EV) has successfully collected thousands of vehicle orders (SPK).
“For the J5 EV, it has been reported to me that there are already over 10,000 vehicle orders (SPK),” said Zeng Shuo, President Director of Chery Group Indonesia in North Jakarta, on Wednesday (18/12).
Zeng Shuo said he was happy with the success of the Jaecoo J5 EV in the domestic market. Because this electric car has managed to attract thousands of people.
As a result, their electric four-wheeled vehicle has been able to record quite high sales. Furthermore, the Jaecoo J5 EV is also able to compete with other products.
Unfortunately, Zeng Shuo was still unwilling to elaborate on the data regarding the number of Jaecoo J5 EV units that have been delivered to consumers.
However, looking at the data from the Association of Indonesian Automotive Industries (Gaikindo), 653 units have been distributed throughout November 2025.
Nevertheless, Jaecoo plans to distribute 10,000 units of the electric car to consumers by February 2026.
It should be noted that the Jaecoo J5 EV has several advantages to offer consumers. Such as featuring a bold and modern exterior design.
The front features a closed grille, typical of electric cars. It is then paired with LED headlamps and Daytime Running Lights (DRL).
Meanwhile, the Jaecoo J5 EV's motor is also claimed to be quite powerful compared to its competitors in the electric SUV segment.
Its electric motor can produce up to 155 kW of power, equivalent to 207.8 hp. While the peak torque reaches 288 Nm.
