Despite being introduced at GIIAS 2025, Jetour is not yet selling the compact electric car X20e.
KatadataOTO – Jetour, one of the brands from Chery Group, will still launch a new product towards the end of 2025.
The model in question is the boxy Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) Jetour T2 which was exhibited at the GIIAS 2025 automotive show.
In fact, on the same occasion, a small-sized electric car, the X20e, was also present.
Jetour X20e was touted as a new challenger to the Wuling Air ev. Its size is compact and both have a 4-seater configuration, or can accommodate four people including the driver.
The difference from the Wuling Air ev is that the Jetour X20e has five doors instead of three. So its dimensions look larger at a glance.
To challenge the Wuling Air ev, the Jetour X20e needs to be offered at a competitive price.
For comparison, the lowest type of Wuling Air ev is offered at around Rp 184 million on the road in Jakarta.
Although it has potential, it seems Jetour is still hesitant to bring the X20e electric car to Indonesia.
News of the X50e electric SUV's arrival is also no longer heard, even though it was introduced earlier.
“That is indeed part of our research. For now, I cannot explain in more detail, because our focus is indeed on bringing in SUVs,” said Ranggy Radiansyah, Marketing Director of Jetour Motor Indonesia in Bekasi, Monday (03/11).
He was also reluctant to provide more detailed information regarding the launch roadmap for the Jetour X20e in the country, even though some salespeople had started taking pre-orders for the model.
Jetour is still more confident in marketing products in the SUV and gasoline-engine segments.
Therefore, the Jetour T2 will be prioritized and will arrive first in Indonesia in the near future.
When asked about the arrival of an electrified variant of the T2, Ranggy emphasized that the gasoline engine type will still be the priority.
“Our focus right now is to introduce the ICE one first. But on the roadmap, we do have an ICE (model) and there will be a Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV),” Ranggy affirmed.
For your information, the Motor Vehicle Sales Value (NJKB) for the Jetour T2 is already listed on the Jakarta Samsat-PKB page.
It is noted there that there are two variants of the Jetour X20e. The 300-kilometer range type has an NJKB of Rp 165 million, while the 410-kilometer one is at around Rp 175 million.
