Wuling Darion Officially Launched, Prices Start From Around IDR 359 Million

KatadataOTO – Wuling Motors introduced its newest MPV (Multi Purpose Vehicle) product at the GIIAS 2025 event. At that time, it was named the Wuling Cortez Darion EV and PHEV.

The dimensions of the Darion are 4,910 mm in length, 1,850 mm in width, and 1,770 mm in height. The wheelbase reaches 2,910 mm, providing more space in the cabin.

Inside the cabin, there is a 7-passenger seat configuration plus captain seat models. There are also premium interior touches that certainly provide comfort in the cabin.

As a modern car, there are several smart features such as auto comfort sliding doors, an electric sunroof, connectivity, and the latest safety systems.

This unit is marketed with two powertrain options: EV (Electric Vehicle) or pure electric. The other is PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle).

The EV variant is equipped with a 150 kW or 201 hp electric motor. The range of the Cortez Darion EV reaches 540 km CLTC (China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle).

For recharging, consumers are also facilitated by the availability of a DC (CCS-2) port. Therefore, recharging the battery from 30 to 80 percent only takes 30 minutes.

Then, the PHEV variant is embedded with a 1,500 cc gasoline engine. This powertrain is believed to be able to produce a power of 145 kW or 194 hp.

In the PHEV variant, its pure electric range reaches 125 km (CLTC). As a result, with the combined power source, the car is claimed to be able to travel more than 1,000 km.

There is also a CCS-2 model battery charging system on the PHEV type, which simplifies the charging process.
