KatadataOTO – The new motorcycle market is starting to show positive performance. Especially in the July 2025 period, or last month.
Processing data from the Indonesian Motorcycle Industry Association (AISI) on Monday (11/08), there was an increase in the number of two-wheeled vehicles sent from factories to dealers (wholesales).
Throughout the seventh month of 2025, 587,049 new motorcycles were distributed to the domestic market.
This figure jumped by 15.25 percent compared to June 2025, which only recorded a figure of 509,326 units.
Furthermore, the achievement in July 2025 is the highest so far this year. A breath of fresh air in difficult times like these.
However, new motorcycle wholesales in July 2025 saw a decrease of about 1.97 percent compared to July 2024. As last year, the figure reached 598,901 units.
Meanwhile, cumulatively from January to July 2025, 3,692,048 units have been sent from factories to dealers.
It should be noted that the figure above is down by about 2.07 percent compared to last year's achievement of 3,769,901 units.
Therefore, two-wheeled vehicle manufacturers still have to catch up on the existing gap until the end of the year.
Additionally, there are still about four months left for Astra Honda Motor (AHM), Suzuki, and Yamaha Indonesia Motor Mfg (YIMM) to boost new motorcycle wholesales.
On the other hand, the new motorcycle export market also increased from 46,096 units in June to 50,042 units in July 2025.
For your information, the increase in new motorcycle wholesales in July 2025 could be due to the Jakarta Fair (PRJ) event held from June 19 to July 13, 2025.
At the exhibition located at JIExpo Kemayoran, manufacturers competed to offer significant discounts to visitors. This attracted people to purchase everything from the Honda Beat to the Yamaha Nmax.
